This probably is the best ‘hybrid’ jogger on the market right now. It ticks heaps of boxes. From the perspective as an all-rounder, it’s truely excellent. Well built, comfy, and adjustable for the little person. It also benefits from a wide range of (mostly) useful accessories. Living in a regional centre, I wish we had bought it earlier with the bassinet insert as 99% of prams seems designed only for shopping centres with ultra-smooth floors. As a walk around town and just ‘doing stuff’, the Glide 2 is brilliant. I’ve not missed the manoeuvrability of a smaller-wheeled pram.
As a pure ‘runner’, it’s not so great IMO. My previous jogger was 18 years ago (yeah, big gap! 🙂 – the OG Baby Jogger (they were awesome then, but suck now). It featured bigger wheels (still the best way to get a comfy ride), was lighter and had far superior ergonomics.
The Thule suffers mainly because of the runner’s ergonomics; specifically hand placement. For short (sub 1 hour runs) it’s totally fine, but on longer runs (especially off-road), the hand placement is flawed. Essentially you are holding a moving piece of plastic. Yeah it’s a clever brake for walking around town, but it’s getting pretty annoying after a while when running tempo. For smaller hands, I’d imagine it’s potentially a real problem. Clamping the bars 2-handed is also hard because of the hose routing, and you don’t feel you have enough leverage to make sharper turns. Again, the Baby Jogger (circa 2005) is far superior.
I am kinda shocked at the lack of genuine running prams these days. Everything is a ‘hybrid’. This is a really good hybrid, but NOT great for running. And frankly, that’s what I bought it for.
Things I don’t like:
Hand ergonomics are flawed.
Smaller front wheel is less forgiving and harder to go over obstacles (especially off-road).
Brake is only OK… front brake would be more powerful and the brake placement means it squeals like a pig when wet. Why not a simple cantilever?
Over-engineered IMO
More of a hybrid than a true running pram.
But ultimately, it’s very good in every other way. Little one loves it, so I guess that’s 99% of the battle 🙂 Dad just doesn’t love pushing it as much as a real running specialist pram (like the OG Baby Joggers). Folds easily, built really well and around town and light bushwalking, I love it. If you’re wanting to run off-road or break a marathon record, then look elsewhere… not that there seems to be any options to be fair.

The wife wasn’t too happy with me plonking down a grand on a running pram, which I thought would help with the sanity and let me get outside with our little one. But she was sold from our first outing, after we easily took the pram out onto a sandy beach – a place where we would never dare to take the Uppababy vista.
The pram is large, sturdy and easy to pack up. It also has a great deal of storage. It is far smoother over even the smallest of footpath bumps while walking.

This is a great pram. The height adjustable bar makes it perfect for short and tall people. I am 178cm and it is the right height for me and can go higher for taller people. Very easy to set up. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a true running pram.
Please be aware that the front wheel is locked in place so the pram isn’t suitable for every day use but is great for running.
