Bubs n Grubs – ID Verification Process for Secure Transactions

We are committed to protecting both our customers and their payment security. After a transaction is completed using a credit card, we may request verification to confirm that the person who made the purchase is the same person who placed the order and owns the card.

This process helps protect you against fraud and ensures your card is not misused. If verification details do not match, we may be unable to dispatch your order.

When We Perform Security Checks

Our security checks are made to protect the cardholder and are triggered if:

  • A manual credit card entry is used and the fraud detection score is high.
  • The purchaser’s details differ from the cardholder or recipient’s name.
  • The transaction originates from an overseas IP address or bank or a VPN.

Pre-Approved & Verified Payment Methods

Purchases made through PayPal or Zip are generally pre-approved and verified, meaning security checks are usually not required. However, if we cannot confirm the recipient’s identity, we may still request verification.

How Verification Works

If a security check is triggered, we may ask you to provide one or more of the following:

  • Driver’s licence
  • Medicare card
  • Utility bill
  • Other government-issued identification matching the payment card details

Once received and verified, your order will proceed to dispatch.

Privacy & Data Security

Any identification you provide is used only for security purposes. Once verified, all related identification details are securely deleted from our system. We never sell, share, store your ID for any other purpose.

This process aligns with the recommendations of our merchant payment processor and complies with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
