I have the new Medela Swing Maxi and they recommend the manual pump for occasional pumping. I still bought this and love it though. Once you have your technique down you can empty your breast quicker and more thoroughly with this compared to the electric. With the electric pump you can watch tv, whereas with this you get the best results if you are watching the pump session and paying attention. You get a greater understand of your body and lactation with this. I also use it at night if I’m worried the sound of the electric pump will disturb my partner. Also as anyone who does a consistently frequent amount of pumping will agree with, no matter how quiet a breast pump is sometimes the drone of the pump itself can be a bit wearing.

It’s so easy to clean & setup and you can pump on the go! It also maximises the amount of milk you can pump by having two pumping options. I would recommend this to friends
