Padding and Wadding
All babyhood padding and wadding is made using heat-bonded polyester fibre. Polyester fibre provides a firm and elastic sleeping surface for your baby.
There is no foam in our mattresses. We do not use foam because it can emit fumes that may impact an infant’s respiratory system and is highly combustible, requiring the addition of formaldehyde and fire retardants. There are no fire retardants or formaldehyde in our mattresses.
Heat bonding is used because it utilises fewer chemicals and reduces your baby’s exposure to harsh substances used in other chemical and petroleum-based bonding methods.
Fabrics
All babyhood fabrics are cotton and are not treated with formaldehyde or fire-retardant chemicals. The fabrics used on the innerspring range are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 approved, providing additional peace of mind.
