smarTrike
Stroller Trikes That Grow with Your Child
smarTrike combines the parent control of a stroller with the fun and independence of a trike, creating compact stroller trikes designed to change as your child grows.
Both models use smarTrike’s patented 360° one-handed steering and progress through four stages, gradually giving your child more control as their confidence and coordination develop.
The Wonder is the lighter option at 5.98 kg and is suitable from 10 months, while the Wonder Max starts from 6 months and adds a premium cushioned seat with a 140° recline and larger 3-stage canopy.
About smarTrike
smarTrike has been developing growing trikes since 2006, with a focus on products that evolve as children move from being pushed by a parent to pedalling and steering for themselves.
A key part of the design is smarTrike’s patented Touch Steering system. Parents can steer one-handed from the push handle, including tight turns and reversing, while the trike can later transition towards child-controlled riding.
The Wonder range takes that idea further by combining stroller-style features such as a 5-point harness, parent steering, rear brake and front-wheel shock absorber with a compact folding trike design.
Both the Wonder and Wonder Max progress through four configurations. Parents control the early outings, children gradually begin using the handlebars and pedals, and eventually the parent handle can be removed for independent riding.
For Australian families, smarTrike products are backed by a 2-year Australian warranty.
Wonder or Wonder Max – Which smarTrike Should You Choose?
- smarTrike Wonder – The lighter choice from 10 months. It weighs 5.98 kg, folds to 54 × 25 × 34 cm and features a breathable mesh seat and 2-stage canopy.
- smarTrike Wonder Max – The comfort-focused choice from 6 months. It weighs 6.95 kg and adds a premium cushioned seat with 140° recline and a larger 3-stage canopy.
Both models include smarTrike’s patented 360° one-handed parent steering, 5-point harness, front-wheel shock absorber, one-foot rear brake and compact folding design. That means the extra cost of the Wonder Max is primarily about starting four months earlier, the reclining cushioned seat and the larger canopy, rather than paying extra for steering or folding features that both models share.
If lower weight, a smaller folded size and price are your priorities, the Wonder is likely to be the better fit. If you’re starting from 6 months or want the extra recline and seating comfort for longer outings, look at the Wonder Max.
